I'm sure everyone has heard about the rumors about SJSU and USU joining the MWC 12. While this is no guarantee I hear that if it does occur MWC would still be looking at the possibility of 14 and maybe 16 teams. The MWC wants to enter at least two of the top three tv markets in Texas. With UH and SMU showing no interest that gets them down to the metroplex and San Antonio with UNT and UTSA likely to join. With that combination they could convince UTEP to join as the metroplex has their largest alumni base. With UTEP on board maybe they could convince Rice to join to gain the Houston TV market, or most likley, extend an invite to La Tech or ULaLa. Maybe even Tulsa.

That's a great story. Tell it again.

I thought we already concluded that:

1. The only contact between the MWC and SJSU was SJSU calling a begging to be invited.

And...

2. San Jose State IS NOT in the San Diego television market.

It's simple. The MWC just invites anyone located west of the Mississippi to join that is not in an AQ conference. Everyone forms their own TV network. It may even be a large enough consortium that it could become an AQ conference. If it becomes too large then we split into winter and spring divisions.

Everyone is happy because no one is left out unless they want to be. Each can be as greedy as they would like because there is no conference or NCAA money to distribute so nothing to share.
