Wow-- great news on the defensive end!! Definitely a need position for us!!

Rivals

Anytime you beat out a Big12-2/Pac 10+2 team it's a good pick up

The news just keeps getting better!

Agreed, agreed, and agreed.

It was just a couple of weeks ago that several of us were getting very nervous about the quiet on the recruiting front, but I feel very good now. We're not home free yet by any stretch, but if this staff keeps it up we could have a class as good as any we've had in several years. And that's with our recruiting season effectively running only from this past December. If we can put a good product on the field, I like our chances to have our best recruiting classes ever in the coming years.

I'm probably getting a little ahead of myself on that last sentence, but suffice it to say that I am pleased with our recruiting to this point.

He will need some serious time in the weight room, but a 6'4 frame should be able to hold 240-260 easily.

That 210 listing is probably from before his senior season. He could easily be over 220 by now, and be a well-muscled 230 by fall.

YIPPEE! The news just gets better and better. Good things are happening for UNT these days...it's time for more people to get on board the Mean Green train. It's heading in the right direction!

Love the class that's being put together. Much more emphasis on defense. That, I love.

It doesn't matter what type of offense you run if your opponents can't score on you very often.

It's amazing what an experienced staff will do for you?

Rick

What impresses me is the staff's ability to identify players that are late bloomers who should turn into big contributers in a year or so. When word gets out that our current coaching staff is open to looking at players like that, we are going to be flooded with calls from coaches around the state.

And like another poster said, it's great to hear about us winning recruiting battles with schools like Colorado and Memphis, rather than the McNeese states of the world.

Lets tap the brakes a little. TD was able too win some battles against Kentucky and some other competitive schools. TD and company managed to mis-handle that talent and failed to coach up the rest.

Also, there is a very thin line between late bloomer and a project. Very few were happy with the scholarship offer to Apunku; a late bloomer.

All academic until we see results that this staff can coach up the talent they recruit...which is wins

I'll take a project from this staff ANY DAY over a project that TD brought in.....especially on defense.
