Breakdown Of Verbals By Position

Based on the verbals we have now I show 11 broken down like this:

QB - 3

DB - 2 (one safety one corner)

WR - 1

OL - 2

LB - 1

DT - 1

TE - 1

Of the 11 only one is a juco player (Andrew Power). I have to think of the remaining spots we will have to land a couple of juco defensive linemen...

I doubt we will sign another QB with 3 already on the board. McNulty could play defense.

You have to think we will sign at least one running back, you should do that every year.

To be honest with you, I wouldn't mind seeing us sign half of the remaining spots with big lineman preferably on the defensive side of the ball. We have to get some help at defensive end, we need a playmaker there. The remainder I would think would be secondary help, another linebacker maybe another speed receiver if one is available. We won't address every need in this class but I would like to see us invest in size as best we can for the future.

For the first time in a few years we do not need to address the place kicker position thanks to Zach Olen. For that matter we should be okay at Punter, Back up Punter/Kicker, Long Snappers, Holder and Kick Off Returner...Not sure about Punt Returner.

This looks good to me. Obviously if you can get a special player you get him, but this looks to be a good guide to go by.

Yes, Brent Osborn has 3 years, already used redshirt year. He will be a RS-Soph this fall.

Exactly. At this point NT needs as many special players as they can get at every position.

This class is really starting to fill out nicely.

There are still a few out there that I'd really like to see us get. Lloyd Carrington the CB out of Dallas Lincoln, has a ton of offers. It has to help that his backfield mate just verbaled to us. Kevin Robertson the WR out of Houston would be great too. It's nice to have a 6'4 frame lined up wide.

And of course we still need more DT help.
