I like this kid. I know he's at a lower level (Class 2A)....but I think he'll be a good college QB. Plus, as I recall.....he averaged 46 yards punting. Someone can correct if I'm wrong on that.

Not wrong on the punting (maybe a little high on the average, but I'm too lazy to look it up). If this kid makes his way to being a starting QB, just think how nice it will be not having to waste a scholarship on a punter, plus the added threat of a fake punt at any time.

I really like this signing.

Now, if we could just get Minden on board.

Now that Cooper Jones has committed, I can't see us offering Minden. If we offer another QB, I see it being another JUCO to deal with immediate depth issues.

I respectfully disagree.

After giving it a lot of thought (Ok, maybe only about 5 minutes), I think the coaching staff is willling to gamble that lightening wont strike 2 years in a row, and they already have one JC commit to compete with Thompson immediately. Plus, it's gonna be hard to sell a second JUCO when there are already 2 candidates for the starting job next year.

Plus, I want Minden. ;)
