Some friends and I once had a discussion over some beverages and other enhancements about an alternate-reality, sort of life swap with another person...but the caveat was that said person had to also be your doppelganger...you know, separated at birth kinda thing. For me, I got to swap lives with young Bruce Springsteen...fortunate, I know.

I wonder if Phil Knight considers it a waste to have to swap with Richard Branson. "I'll swap my life as an eccentric billionaire for that of another eccentric billionaire..." I mean, I guess Branson does have the better accent...but still, its gotta be a little bit frustrating for Knight as he really doesn't get to try something new.

Good news, guys. I just had a meeting with my accountant, and at my current rate of savings, with investments, I should be a billionaire by the year 2387.

unfortunately due to the TVM, that billion will be worth approximately $97,184 in todays value.

But we complain about the millionaires we do have.

Amen! Alot of people on this board want to talk about how little boosters we have etc; but what about the ones who have given plenty of money and resources to get where we are now? (Goldfields, Rays, Lovelaces, Cases, Smiths, etc)? We certainly would not be sitting in the position we are now and be poised for such a positive future! In my opinions, we can't thank them enough!

I wonder if we would actually call and update a BILLIONAIRE , because apparently we have so many millionaire donors we forget to

I could be wrong, but I assume Shaft's post was a reference specifically to Mattress Mac.

We don't need one billionaire to fund our athletics. The school needs to capture the hearts and connect with current and future students so we don't have an apathetic alumni base. Trying to get old alums to come back is nice but the key is what we do now and in the future to grow our alumni power. Then we will get all types of boosters including millionaires, and possibly billionaires.

It was in reference to all of those who have significantly contributed to get North Texas Athletics where it is now; not one person in particular.
