1St In A Series On Recruiting

I believe most of our posters are aware of the 2011 commitment to NT FB but thought this would be the first step in looking at our prospective players.

I show 7 commitments. This does not include:

DT Ronnell Wriht, Butte CC, California 6-3, 280, committed Dec 20 over offers from Arkansas State, UTEP, Washington State, offer by NT..His commitment is still in question..

JC QB Brent Osborn, NW Miss JC, 6-4, 210, committed to NT over offers from Murray State,Tenn Martin, UAB and Georgia Southern..who led his team to a a 9-1 record, completed 64.4 % of his passes (181 of 295, 18 TD's, 12 interceptions)

What we don't know about Osborn...has NT signed a LOI? NT officials can't give out info and we won't know until NT announces all his signees or someone from Osborn's coach or family furnishes this info to an fb web site.

I admit a lot of this is old stuff...but using it to start this series. OldTimers

Thanks to a gmg supporter this question is verified..loi signed.

Another note on OT Emela Okafor, Sunnyville HS (committed) 6-5, 310...he also played Nose guard on defense...participated in the shot put in tract meets...a litle lacking in experience but has the size and strength to help on the defensive side.

Not to be nitpicky, but her goes anyway:

The article says that he "will" sign with UNT. "Will" and "has" are two different words. Ronnell Wright essentially said that he "will" sign with UNT by committing, but then backed off when he heard Miami was nosing around.

I would love to see an article that says Osborn "has" signed.

I can tell you for a fact that he has signed. There is an article under the heading "VALLEY'S OSBORN SIGNS WITH D-1 NORTH TEXAS" in the Valley Times-News on page 12A on Dec, 23 2010. I would list the link to article but it is pay to view site.
