Our last conference loss....nearly a year ago....was on the road at MTSU. Do we get revenge?

The Blue Raiders are not playing well enough to win, I'd be very surprised if North Texas doesn't win going away. Since this is a double header, you will see the crowd likely drop off from the women's game as fans vote with their feet about what they think about the state of the men's program. I posted on the gomiddle.com board that The score may be as ugly for the MT men as the score will be for the north texas women...

I am a little concerned about this game only because of the absence of Big George. Hopefully, the bench will continue to contribute in meaningful ways. This will be another opportunity for Ft. Knox to make solid contributions. Being close to 7', I'd like to see Ben slam home a few more dunks like he has recently instead of playing finesse backboard layups. I think these energize Ben and the team.

I don't know about gamblers, but MTSU can go big and Kermit Davis can control the pace of a game with his brand of ugly ball. Just looking at their results they are wildly inconsistent, playing Auburn tough at Auburn and losing to a couple of nobodies. While being 5-9 overall they are 3-3 at home. We can win but this to me is a scary game w/o George.

www.kenpom.com has North Texas winning by 3 with a 60% of winning. It is our most likely loss until we play at WKU. If Big George can't play or is limited I see this game going down to the wire.

This will be a test for the Mean Green this evening, but I have seen these guys rise to the occasion late in games and make the necessary adjustments to win. Now, that being said...this is a road game. Tougher to make those comebacks on the road, so here's hoping the Mean green start fast and stay strong throughout. Can do...will do!

To be fair, Auburn is a nobody... They are terrible this year...

They have home losses to UNC-Ashville, Samford, Campbell and Presbyterian...

MTSU was their first win of the season...

Didn't JJ interview for that job? Or was it Clemson? Always get them confused.

Yeah, Auburn interviewed JJ....but they hired the UTEP coach (Tony Barbee).

MUTS have played very good at times this year, and probably pose the greatest test on the road this year along with WKU.

they just beat a tough tennessee st. team at home, so its gonna be especially tough if we dont have big george.

should be a great game! 73-63 GMG

And since then Auburn has beaten 11 win Florida State.

Can't tell yet as they haven't given a link to the men's game... the women's game is $7 so the men's is probably a buck or two more.

Hogan's looks like he doesn't know what to do with the double team...hopefully the coaches will correct this soon.
