As with many of you out there, I really had no idea that UNT fielded a Lacrosse team. That was until, my nephew phoned me up and told me that he was playing.

I asked him "what the ?!%&$ are you talking about! Have you ever even played before?"

He replied "No, but I get to hit people with sticks and knock the teeth out of a few guys from around the state"

I have now been a HUGE Mean Green Lacrosse fane for several months, and I will tell you that it is a great sport to watch. Even more, we have an outstanding team! They have surprised everyone in the state and scored some huge victories over some serious talent.

At 8-4 They have notched hard fought victories against Baylor, Rice, SMU, Trinity, UTA, UTD, Southwestern and TCU

Fought hard and lost some tough ones to UT, A&M, and LSU (All ranked nationally)

There are a couple of home games left, and it is well worth the time to go and wathc these warriors out there fighting for some respect in a little known sport.

Oh yeah.....when you go and see #17 drop a guy like a load of cement....cheer hard for my MEAN GREEN NEPHEW (Cory Driver) Sometimes if you look real hard you can still see peices of the other guy stuck in his teeth!

GO MEAN GREEN!!
