Very tough to pick just one. I went with Fouts' swan song, since we have been looking forward to it for so long.

Wasn't the official ground breaking in November of 09?

I chose the hiring of McCarney, because, to me, this was finally an indication that NT is serious about being a committed athletic program.

I went with the groundbreaking, though I think Silver is right. The new stadium will have the unique situation to extend beyond all the other choices. Coaches come and go. Season records can always be broken. I assume we will continue to get top players. The new stadium will one day celebrate it's 50th and 60th anniversery.

I don't see a listing for Knox going for 9 pts, 7 boards, and perfect from the stripe while only commiting two fouls, so I went with Coach McCarney.

Personally, I thought it was my runaway victory in the 2010 Sunbelt Basketball tournament prognostication challenge, followed closely by my correct prediction (unfortunately) of the record for the 2009 UNT football team. Can't believe neither of these 2 were an option.

But, that's just me.

I'm with Silver on the timing and with Greenjoe on the sentiment. The new stadium has got to be the biggest story for UNT followed by the hiring of Coach McCarney.

However, several items didn't make the list such as the turn around by the golf teams, the continuing success of the soccer team, the rise of UNT's tennis team...OK, just trying to give some credit to the "other" less covered sports that have had some great success for UNT.

SBC Tourney win and playing in NCAA tournament. Pulled the Athletic program up when we needed it most. Great pride point for NT students, alumni and fans.

I choose OTHER: UNT Tennis Team coming back from 3-0 down to FIU to win the Tournament and earn their first NCAA Tournament Appearance.
