Over 3K according to the box score. Once the students come back we might average over 4K.

When the students come back I'm hoping we start breaking the 5K barrier.

Great way to start conference play. Good win. I hope attendance will continue to improve. Our team deserves a good crowd every night.

Really, really impressive first conference game win. Way to send a message to the rest of the conference, boys.

So many good things from tonight's game. A dominate 1st half in which Knox scores 9 points and looks like a solid contributor. I posted early that he didn't pass the eye test. Well, he did tonight. He looks muxh more comfortible in his role and is playing a lot less vertical and more horizontal (not just standing straight up, but finally spreading his legs and establishing a base with his lower body). Maybe he was doing this in practice and it just hadn't translated to the game,. He also seems MUCH more confident in his game on the floor, although he still has moments of rushing things on offense (see the second half layup miss that went from one side of the backboard to the other without ever touching rim). If he can give us that type of game consistently through conference, very good things will happen.

I thought we would lose at least 5 conference games earlier this year. I would like to revise that to no more than 3, please.

This team has some nice potential to be a really good team. There were several very nice times in the game that shows this. It's fun to watch them play so well in this up-tempo style of play. I expect to see some nice crowds this year.

Now, that's what I'm talking about! Great start to conference play. The team looked ready from the opening tip. Sure, there were a couple of little "lapses" in intensity, but you could just tell that there was no way they were going to slow down and let this one get out of their control. Ben Knox's two dunks...how about that, sport's fans!

I thought the crowd was very good as well given the date and no students. However, I want to mention that there were several UNT football players and at least one UNT soccer player in attendance. The soccer player being the prettier one of the bunch for sure! Let's get some folks in the seats for the 4PM New Year's Day game as well. These guys are really playing well and have earned some solid support. I agree that when the students return there is a decent chance that attendance could start approaching 5,000 game in and game out.

Congrats to JJ and Company for starting strong in conference play. Seems UNT has had some challenges with UALR in the past as they are a very good defensive team...takin' care of business was the rule of the evening. Congrats...now about that New Year's day game...GO MEAN GREEN!!!

Good start to conference play for the Mean Green. Knox had a nice game. Dom and Josh outclassed their guards by a mile. Huge rebounding advantage. Unselfish passing to create opportunites for others. Nice home turnout even without the students back on campus.

Good night for NT.
