Forgive me if this is being talked about on the 8 page LSU thread but I'm now worried that the win in Baton Rouge opened their eyes to JJ again. If he were to leave us after this season would we also lose our FR class next season?

For JJ to be seriously considered for a higher level program, I think he needs a team to make it past the 1st round of the NCAA. It hasn't happened yet but if we make the tournament this season, maybe this is the year we finally break though?

I don't think we need to make it past the 1st Round for him to get a job somewhere else, but it'd help. But, seriously guys...don't worry about it, enjoy this season. These are special times, don't ruin it with what ifs.

I'm really curious to see how we stack up against our conference foes this year and really looking forward to the tournament in Hot Springs. I'm really hoping we stay healthy and that fans come out en mass to help support this team; they deserve it.

I just don't want to see JJ leave. He has been building something really special and this could be the year we make a splash.

What would be even worse is if JJ leaves, AND takes Ben Knox with him. :o

Before JJ got the program turned around and built momentum, some of you posters wanted to run him off! I remember making posts supporting him and asking for patience back then. Now we like and appreciate him and his work and I think he truly loves UNT back. RV would do anything reasonable to keep JJ happy, so it will take more than another 39 cents and a Charms Blowpop to convince him to leave us. If he would ever move on it would be for a significant upward move for him and his family and you could never begrudge a guy taking an opportunity like that.

Honestly, not many posters wanted to run him off, because not many even posted in the basketball forums a few years ago. But yes, I remember a couple of people getting fed up with him too.

If JJ doesn't win all of the remaining games on the schedule this season by a margin of 20 or greater, then he should be fired and forced to return every penny of his earned salary.

Don't forget a public flogging before he's escorted to the Denton County line and expelled.

Instead of being worried about JJ leaving we (as in the administration) needs to do our part and and give him reasons not to look elsewhere. A significant salary spike will certainly make things easier. Lets git er done.

if i'm jj, i am frustrated and disapointed that no matter how good we are, attendance averages only 3,000. if we loose him, this will be a primary reason. lack of fan support.
