How about lime green turf.

Might look darn good in person but the TV cameras and lime green turf might not agree with each other. That red football field of ???????? drove me crazy as to turn remote control to another station.

When you build a new stadium and lay down turf you may want to consider how the ESPN TV camera lenses will view that stadium?

I would love natural grass but didn't RV say the cost to maintain it, water system, mowing, fertilizing, chalking etc. was very expensive.

Unfortunately, this is correct.

Even UT went back to artificial turf:

2009 - A $27 million project[5] brought a new Football Academic Center, a new Hall of Fame, FieldTurf replaced the TifSport Certified Bermuda grass, and the 4,000 south end temporary bleachers were replaced with the addition of 4,525 permanent bleacher seats bringing capacity to 100,119[4].
