We won by a landslide for sure!!!!!

DMac is in a league above the rest of the Belt.

We've got 3 coaches on our staff that could be the head coach at any other school in the Belt except maybe Troy.

Wasn't even close, and let's hope this is the start of more, "we beat the rest of the belt in ____, and it wasn't even close."

Still rather say we won the conference championship rather than we won the off-season head coaching hiring battle.

This is a lot like recruiting. NT has certainly won the beauty contest but no one will know how good the coach is until he actually wins some games. It is very nice time to be a fan of NT, who should become the Bully of the Belt. NT now has resoures second to no other school in the Belt.

You couldn't be more right! I have no idea what sort of returing talent you guys have other than your running back is a bona fide stud. That said, you guys will dominate the SBC... no joke... Maybe not next year... but you will notice a distinct pattern of confidence and winning attitue about the guys going into spring ball. It's gonna be fun :)

I agree...that Coach Mac will take a year to unpack and then watch out SBC! Who even knows what happens next Fall, too.

At any rate, the SBC must start having its football champion near or in a Top 25 poll, though. We are not impressing anyone outside the 'Belt until we do. We need those sportwriters who vote MAC teams into Top 25 polls to look south at some point & start throwing a few of their votes toward our top team; not that they will.

      I saw USF up in the 3rd quarter, but didn't get to see the OT. Any news during the game about if Hawaii will get a new stadium too? I was sad to hear the Aloha Bowl was in such bad shape a couple years ago and it had to be abandoned.

      I’m there with you as one of the few that watched it. I actually didn’t start watching until about 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter, but still got my money’s worth.

      I guess few saw the five overtime slugfest in Honolulu. Oh well I did and it was a blast of a game. Spartans roaring back for Coach Niumatalolo who lost his father last week. A native Hawaiian who played for UH, took his team to the Arizona Memorial for remembrance. Battling it out against a team traveling over 4,600 miles, further than any team this season including that game in Ireland 🇮🇪. That bounce in field goal to send the game into OT as the 4th quarter expired was awesome. A team building, bringing a new stadium to our league, a team seeking consecutive bowl wins after some dire years. Yeah I was one of the few that watched it. Love the storylines and shots of my old island home. It was historic. The most OT’s in bowl history Oh yeah and our conference is 3-1 in the bowl challenge. American rising. GMG

      Dave Fleming New Volleyball Coach

      This is a very surprising pick. Frankly,I don't get it; a very veteran coach; who has coached at the same D2 school forever almost. Why would this coach even be considered a good fit at NT? A .68% winning D2 coach who has apparently never coached at a higher level. Is NT cost cutting? I hope he is wildly successful, it would be hard to not be an improvement over the previous coach. However, this IMO is a very questionable choice.
