Miami: ESPN is reporting that Al Golden has accepted the Miami job.

Vanderbilt: The Washington Post is reporting that Gus Malzahn has accepted the Vanderbilt job.

If it ends up working out, this is a big coup for Vandy. Malzahn is just what they need, IMO. Vandy needed some young blood in the program to get things going.

Malzahn shows how things don't go according to plan sometimes. If you remember, Arkansas hired Malzahn largely because they thought it would sew up the recruitment of Mitch Mustain and a couple of his teammates from Malzahn's high school team in Springdale, Arkansas. Four years later, Mustain is the third string QB at USC is has accomplished pretty much nothing in his college career and Malzahn has gone from OC at Arkansas to OC at Auburn and now HC at Vanderbilt.

Reports are out now that Malzahn has turned Vandy down. $3M not enough to have his career end in Vandy.
