Please explain to me why we did not play up to our potential last night?

Why was there not more coaching from the bench for those who watched it on the net? TO's?

SHSU also has anew coach since Marlin is now at ULL, so nice to seem them keeping up.

SHSU is better than there record. UNT has played well with lack of bench help. Our bench is really the issue here. UNT played SHSU in their house, and we didn't play at the top of our game based on the amount of time our starters are forced to stay on the floor.

UNT shoots much better FT's than SHSU, so later in the year and in the tournament UNT will be much better off than SHSU. One thing that's hard to do is getting a teams players to shoot be FT's. FT's is one part of UNT's game that is very solid, so hopefully our bench play will improve somehow.

Don't get too excited because it is only one game and one game does not make a season. UNT will win the SBC and get selected for The Dance and if the bizzare happens UNT will play SHSU in the tournament somewhere down the road. Not too likely but stranger things happen.

Agreed, if we start looking for issues, Johnny gets benefit of doubt...

Can we chalk this up to a learning experience? Not everybody is going to lay down and hand it to us.

Just glad to see a program where we're 7-2 and upset about 1 of our 2 losses, as well as a couple of the wins...

Much rather throw a clunker against SMHU than in conference play... Let's call it a wake-up call and and an eye-opener for the boys...

Agree with what you said, but NT fans need to ready themselves for a couple of conference losses as well. UALR, Western and FAU all appear to be tough. None of those will be easy conference games. I just can't see us running rough shot over the entirety of the Sunbelt.

I was thinking something like 13-3 in SBC play was what our ceiling was, with 10-6 being the floor.
