I don't have a picture, but the next time you drive by the stadium take a look toward the top of the hill where the hotel once stood.

There is big sign that says:

Welcome to UNT

Home of the Mean Green

That is the old Raddison sign by the access road, they recently changed out the panels in it. Not sure if it is lighted at night but it is very visible from the highway.

sidenote: Hank mentioned in Part 1 of 4 in the Dec. stadium tour video that there would be signage behind the wingzone facing the highway too... http://www.meangreensports.com/newMediaPlayer/sl/console.htm?oemid=1800&SPSID=&CLIP_FILE_ID=739453&SPID=&id=739453&DB_OEM_ID=1800&CLIP_ID=728968&type=vod&DB_MENU_ID=

Yeah, I've noticed it.

Kinda looks awkward all by itself just sitting there.

I noticed it the Tuesday after the Kansas State football game. Not sure how long it had been there before that.

Its Its nice, but we need something bigger. This is freaking TEXAS. baby!. Right at the merge of two major highways in the middle of Big 12 country.

Lovin it!

I doubt this is permanent. Probably will see an upgrade or will be replaced by the stadium signs that will be up.

I could be wrong, but when I was in town over Thanksgiving, I saw the sign and thought it was a white sign with green lettering. This one is obviously different and if so, would seem to be the permanent sign. Anyone else see the sign during the KSU game? SUMG, I looked for this sign because you had posted something about it on here. Is this the sign you saw, or is my memory correct?

John.......it's the same sign. When I posted about it.....they just had the lower part "Home of the Mean Green" on there. So the top part were just white panels. I'm glad they filled the top part out....which they did a week or two later.

I think that would be a great place for big flagpole with a huge North Texas battle flag on it!

Nice sign but doesn't seem quite large enough where its located.

Move the sign (change wording on it if need be) to a place inside the MG Village where its size will better suit the area it would be promoting and because of its size be much more impressive than its present location? That make sense? Just my .02

GMG!
