The posts on that thread are a couple weeks old but are about how they want to keep Bowen. They haven't posted yet that we hired him from what I saw on there.

Man, I hope we're not losing good coaches to conference rivals because of money.

It's one thing if they're making a step up, but I wouldn't classify this as a step up (unless it's money).

I hope there's more to this, like he has family in the area or something.

It just speaks volumes about the overall state of the football program at WKU if this is true. Besides the individual performance of Bobby Rainey,the improved performance of the defense was the only real shining point for this team. And to lose him to a conference rival after only 1 year...pitiful!!!

But this is indeed bad news! We finally take a few steps forward and now the boys have to acclimate to a new coach (hopefully not a new system)
