DENTON, Texas - Tristan Thompson, the nation's 17th ranked scorer, was unstoppable in a trio of North Texas wins, and was named the Sun Belt Player of the Week by the league office on Tuesday.

The senior's second career SBC Player of the Week award, Thompson averaged 24.7 points per game on 50.0 percent shooting last week. North Texas is off to a 7-1 start, its best since the 1976-77 squad began 11-1.

The Mean Green has taken two of the last three Sun Belt Player of the Week awards after Josh White snagged the third of his career on Nov. 23.
