Thanks, I'll check it out. By the way, for you older Rocker fans, Three Dog Night is on PBS right now. Unbelievable, those guys still got it after 40 years. I went to a Beach Boys concert in which Three Dog Night and America opened up for. The Beach Boys came on stage to introduce Three Dog Night and led with the question: "Can you believe we used to open up for these guys in 196?".

"If you like Fuel, you may like:"  and then there will be listings of other groups with similar sounds.  Such as if you put in Incubus then you will get Red Hot Chili Peppers or one of their sound a like groups from the past.  If you keep going you eventually get to what ever generation of music you may have grown up with say back to the 80's or 70's.

On a more serious note, are the days of the great rock guitarists gone?

Sort of like a musical Kevin Bacon Game ? Maybe you could find the fewest links from Rob Zombie to Enya, something like that. Debbie Gibson to Ministry.

As for the great guitarists, I am eternally grateful to an old acquantance from days gone by that turned me on to an artist named Steve Morse. I then followed his career backwards into the Dixie Dregs days as well as his solo efforts later. Try to downlaod the song "Tumeni Notes" from 'High Tension Wires' CD. Be sure to pick your jaw up of the floor after listening. Eric Johnson is another favorite.

Why not ? If I had to pick a favorite classical composer, it would probably be Mendelssohn.

Probably Aaron Copland for me. Though it's a tossup between he and Bethoveen.

I'm also big into scores written for film...sort of a contemporary classical music.

Tom Morello is the guitar messiah...

the problem i had with him in Rage was that he tries to prove it too damn much. We all know he's a great guitarist and can do some wonderful things, but we don't need to hear it in every song.
