So CUSA doesn't have enough bowl teams....? Is that why he's projecting Temple to the NO Bowl? Anyway, I worry about the NO Bowl. If they have a FIU-Temple matchup, that will be an attendance disaster. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see either of those teams "traveling" worth a darn....to New Orleans.

NO Bowl: Sunbelt #1...vs....C-USA #5!!!!!

Wow...is the SB THAT bad????

We need out of this league....:(

it's not the fifth best team in cusa, the bowl has the fifth pick of the teams eligible out of cusa.

So that would mean C-USA would have at least 5 teams eligible for a bowl game? If so...then that would support my point as well...as the Sun Belt Conference has never (as far as I am aware) had that man y teams eligible for a bowl game.

Further, and to support my original statement, if the SB #1 plays in the NO Bowl...then it is not as if we will play the C-USA #1 team...

cincinnati was second place in cusa when nt played them in 2002

memphis was fourth in 2003

southern miss was tied for second in 2004

southern miss was tied for third in 2005

rice was second in 2006

memphis was tied for second in 2007

sometimes, the new orleans bowl gets a great team, sometimes not. it's all in the bowl picking order and based upon travel/tickets/etc.

the number one cusa team will always go to the liberty bowl, so number one's in each conference would never play in a bowl game since the belt's always go to new orleans. no big deal.
