Brent Osborn, hometown Valley, Alabama

2010 RS freshman at NW MS JUCO

2009 Georgia Southern Redshirted

Left GSU last spring after spring training and because of a coaching change and GSU that resulted in them utilizing a spread triple option.

He was rated 2 stars and ranked #135 best QB in the nation by Scout.com his senior season at Valley HS, Alabama, where he had offers from UAB and Georgia Southern. He led the Northwest Community College Rangers to a 9-1 record (undefeated regular season) and top 5 NJCAA ranking in 2010. For the season, he completed 61.4% of his passes (181-295) and threw for 18 TDs, but he also had 12 interceptions and one fumble for the year. He looks to be a true pocket passer who's not afraid to take a hit, but his quick release enabled him to get through the season with only 7 sacks. He has good size at 6'4" and 210 lbs but should probably add about 10-15 lbs to play at the FBS level.

Here are some highlights from this season at Northwest, MS JUCO

I'm told Brent has been offered by UNT and will be taking a visit to Denton this weekend. At this time, his decision appears to be between UNT and Murray State.
