These new Pit Crew kids don't even know what Tiki is... they couldn't handle Tiki.

Some of us do....I remember ya'll with the Tiki back when I was high school or middle school. Can't really recall how many years ago it was.

Matt your response gave me a chubby one. It feels good to be remembered... at least someone around here knows who did what....

I'm not sure what you mean by, "at least someone around here knows who did what."

You guys surely laid the foundation for the Pit Crew today, but at the same time I believe it is better off now. It is hard to compare though. The Pit Crew of the old days would have immensely benefitted from the following the Pit Crew has today, which is almost certainly due to the success that the basketball team has experienced recently, as well as the fact that school spirit continues to rise despite the struggles of the football team (borderline run-on sentence, but I'll roll with it).

I was disappointed by the huge argument several years ago about "who invented the Pit Crew," and all that mess. I felt that the Pit Crew was more "rebranded" for a new generation of UNT students, as opposed to what some seemed to interpret as a slap in the face to the past.

Nevertheless, you guys were certainly entertaining and appreciated.

OH. MY. GOD.

How much? We can get this funded.

Looks like it's only $24.99

Is 39" enough? I VAGUELY remember the old Tiki from games in the mid 90's. Seems like it was bigger than that....guess it's not the size though.

Matt Sorry I disguised my sarcasm in that post... haha. I was referring to the old school dumbass arguments on this site, not a stab at the current Pit Crew. The biggest difference is the size and funding of this newer Pit Crew. I think the old schoolers just get alittle bitter that when we asked the AD stiffed armed up for funding...

The Pit Crew keeps getting older and older. The tiki you're talking about is from the 1890’s, right?

Well the original Tiki dates back to the end of Tupac Inca Yupanqui rule of the Inca dynasty...around 1493, or roughly 40 years before the Spanish conquest by Francisco Pizarro...but, lets not split hairs.
