interesting...i was just typing a similar post. well, not to get rid of boomer, but to say that if we're being critical of the timing of some of the cheers, how about the timing of boomer? if there's a formula for when he's used, i sure haven't figured it out.

? huh.gif ?

At the end of every quarter and after every score, the extra point is a separate score from the TD.

As Cerebus said, after every score and kickoff. Pretty easy formula. Sometimes it takes a minute to load. We're not Civil War artillary gunners.

But we do load and fire in a similar manner. Last years' crew had some.....mmmmmm.... Trouble with the firing mechanism that I wasn't aware of until after the Rice game. But I got it fixed by the next home game. No more Pfffffffffffffft....BOOM!!!!. Just .....BOOM!!!!

EPL club songs. Without the cussing. I would like to be the American University that sings Brit soccer songs.

celtic fc, of the scottish league, fans sing you'll never walk alone at the games...very cool..

liverpool, manchester united, fulham, and others have sung this as well.

i actually thought this was an original to north texas. it would great to hear the stadium sing this every game!!!

I don't think anyone knows the words to that song, but if you are willing to teach some people, I'll sing it.

Also, apparently we cannot say Eagles unless it is university-approved but also we must say Eagles so as not to offend the people that attended NTSU and don't give a crap about anything.

There have been like three suggestions, in total. Eppy4life tried like hell to hijack the thing. The rest of it has been bitching about the fight song.

This chant/cheer is in addition to the stuff we do now. This isn't about changing anything, nor is it a space for you to vent about how you like cheering during opposition kick-offs. A good portion of you whiners cry about not having what those Big Number conferences have. Do it now. Make something up. Now. It isn't open-mike night for your crappy 'we suck' jokes, Eppy. Nor is anyone trying to change all your dear traditions, Rudy.

Also, this isn't for the cheerleaders. When the male-cheerleader comes back and tells you 'no we can't use that' ignore him.

Let's come up with a cheer that you old crusties in the Alumni section -- who have lots of excuses but no enthusiasm come up with something that you can cheer.

And dammit that M-E-A-N G-R-Double E-N thing has grown on me and FFR can fulfill his dream to be Fireman Ed and lead it if it means we get to do it.

What the hell are you singling me out for? I, like all of us are trying to help the cheerleaders and the rest of the fans get on the same page. Sorry if it didn't satisfy you.

I've always liked this version- Celtic FC singing in tribute to the people of Madrid when they played Barcelona in the UEFA Champions league on the day of the 2004 Madrid Bombing.
