Sounds like they already had their man and that he was never really given a shot? Playing hypothetical here but what if we would have won by 2 or 3 touchdowns today, what would they have said to justify not keeping Canales ? Who doesnt want to keep a guy who instantly turned these guys into winners, someone who really gave his heart and soul to this program and someone the kids loved to play for. I wish nothing but the best for Canales and i will instantly be a fan of whatever program he goes to.

I think DeLoach's defensive breakdown against ULM is what changed the tide, beat ULM and Canales might be the man.

I think the idea was to clean house. Yeah it sucks for Canales and I kinda feel for the guy but it is what it is. I hope NT can raise Chico's salary and gets him to stay here as assistant coach and offensive coordinator.
