Well, if it's true... and sure seems likely... I hope Canales stays...

From what he said in the post game interview, I doubt it. These last few weeks have shown him he is ready to be a head coach someplace. I wish him well whether he is here or somewhere else.

Some school is gonna get one fine HC in Canales... I'll support whoever it is that is hired here... that said, I just ain't too excited about the possible Coach Mac hire...

Then why did we pay Neinas a f'ing dime. I am so pissed about this whole G damn procedure. I think NT f'ed up again and this better be RV's ass if it doesnt work out. No way in hell this would be a better hire than Fran.

ULL has an opening. ASU probably will too. Exciting huh?

I cannot even express how sick I am going to be if Chico goes to ULL or ASU and gets them turned around...

I have a feeling he is going to go somewhere and be really successful, but if it is a conference foe it will taste unmentionable...

I didn't think so before, but after the game today I think we are letting our best candidate for the head coaching position walk off campus...

We should have known that when we hired Neinas, we were not going to get any coaches that were not friends of his or on his speed dial.

the coaching profession is based upon the buddy system in all sports.

No doubt about it. But did we need to spend $40,000 to get this guy's buddy's number? Or to pay this buddy three times what he was making at his last head coaching gig?

      I would like them to be good enough to be Quad 1 but not too good to get Will Wade hired away because they're our only home game on the books for next year lol.

      UTSA Game Poll

      UTSA is 4-0 at home and 0-5 away for 4-5 overall. NT is 3-2 at home and 2-2 away for 5-4 overall. They haven't gone thru the 3 game gauntlet NT has. Homer says we'll win by 14.

      Around the League / UNT Opponents

      figure one main thread to keep track of how our opponents are faring. the AAC is off to a pretty strong start...overall record of 29-7. plus currently Oregon State, High Point and Utah State / St. Bonaventure are all 3-0 - Memphis (2-0) with two quality wins v. Mizzou and UNLV. they should be undefeated (though San Francisco isn't a gimmie) heading into a 11/25 game with UCONN. - UAB (2-1)...I thought their loss to Vermont wouldn't look too bad, but UV has two pretty ugly losses now. really intriguing game tomorrow 11/15 v. High Point - FAU (2-1) look tough...their loss was by 6 to UCF who already beat then 13th A&M. - the other undefeated teams, ECU (3-0), Temple (3-0), Tulane (3-0), Tulsa (3-0), Wichita St. (2-0) collectively really haven't played much of a schedule...best win is probably WSU over WKU...but they've made pretty light work of what's in front of them. Games of interest over the next week or so: 11/14 - Northern Iowa @ Wichita State 11/15 - UAB @ HighPoint ; Temple @ Boston College ; FAU v. Charlston and Liberty (11/16) 11/21 - Memphis @ San Francisco ; FAU v. Oklahoma State (3 day tourney...would play Miami or Drake next)

      Sure but how good is Charlotte? They beat Richmond who lost to Marist. Utah State's other D1 win is against 0-3 Alcorn State who lost to an NAIA school. Again too early to really tell either way.

      they dropped 100 on a conference mate. currently 47 in KenPom. Memphis is at 37 and currently our highest rated opponent.
