Which Assistant Coaches Stay

If Dan McCraney is indeed the new coach then I would assume that Mike Nelson has the best chance at being retained due to his past with McCarney. I am torn about this as I wish I knew how many of the D-line personal decisions were Nelsons and how many were Dodge telling him who would play where. By all accounts, Nelson was quite an accomplished D-line coach prior to his stint here. Who else has a shot at staying? Does Deloach stay on?

Canales as Offensive Coordinator/Associate Head Coach---recruiting ties in Florida, Georgia, California, and Arizona

Hines as WR Coach (valuable asset to Vanales with offense as he was OC at La Tech for years)---recruiting ties in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Tennessee

Gandy as RB Coach---recruiting ties in Mississippi, and Louisiana

Point of the story: these are well qualified coaches who have recruiting ties in the most fertile areas in the country. One could argue that most of the key components on recent teams have been from Mississippi and Louisiana.
