Okay, everyone who is surprised by this, please raise your hends...... Anyone ??? Didn't think so......

I am surprised. The guy has a reputation for being a genius. Filing all these suits does not seem like a smart move for a guy who would otherwise be on the short list for primo coaching jobs.

Nope. Unwinnable suit.

Agree, on this suit. His suit against Tech has a shot, though, because the Tech good 'ol boys were caught e-mailing ideas about how to get rid of him after just one year of a contract he had yet to sign. You've got to deal "with clean hands." Tech didn't do so.

The flip side is, he's now making $0.00 coaching; so, perhaps he's desperately trying to make up for it.

Anyway, with the bevy of available former head coaches, current head coaches, and rising coordinators and assistants, it's hard to see Leach and Leavitt has being overly attractive to schools the longer their lawsuits drag out.

Screw 'em both. As stated before, let the coaches coach, while those two play Ally McBeal.

UNT was never going to pursue Leach based on his first lawsuit against the state of Texas.

Now a private university may not have any problems with him, but him giving the appearance (or actually being) one who can be insubordinate will kill his chances to coach at most universities in the higher echelon of the NCAA. Just my .02

The players should sue Leach for libel and slander for calling their girlfriends "fat" during the post-game press conference last year.

He spoke to the truth. Maybe it will motivate fat ass girlfriends to get on the treadmill and burn those calories.

One of the standards for libel and/or slander is that the statements have to be false.

And I believe that the statements have harmed you.

Oh Leach has Tech dead to rights, the dumb asses and their emails sealed their fates. Leach will get all his contract and bonuses plus all kinds of damages. I think he has ESPN too, but not as clear cut. I bet ESPN settles first. Tech would be smart to settle with the emails against them.

Leach isn't going to win a libel suit against ESPN. He's a public figure, and the standards for proving libel are much higher for public figures. He would have to prove that ESPN intentionally reported false information to harm him.

I guess we will see.
