FC Dallas loses on a heartbreaking own goal in overtime.

The game got really strange toward the end. The referee was terrible, but he was terrible both ways, so I guess it is hard to complain. Both of the Colorado goals were fluke goals, but hey, that is soccer. Hopefully this playoff run will gain some fan support for the team, which gets money for the club, and MAYBE we can bring in a Designated Player.

Looking forward to next season, and the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!!

Caught most of the 2nd half and all of overtime. Pretty fun game and that own goal was a killer. Very enjoyable game and coming from a guy that is more into European soccer the level of competition was very adequate last night.

Heartbroken, but overall it was a great trip. Considering it was Toronto on a one week warning we brought plenty of supporters and the front offices of FCD brought tons too. Toronto fans were all pretty nice, Colorado fans were pretty stand-up guys after the win.

Gotta say, I didn't see many super hot chicks in Toronto (like 10's), but there were an INSANE amount of 7's and 8's. Very very high quantities of cute girls in that city.

      Next week's ECU game is our last chance this season to sellout DATCU Stadium

      So if you were AD for a day which P4 regional program could you bring in? Hard to get the big boys in Texas to play in a 30,000 seat road game. SMU and TCU will never play us again and Houston has moved on. Looks like Texas State , Sam Houston, UTEP, New Mexico St.,Ark. St., ULL, and La. Tech are regional programs that might draw more fans than flies so sign them up.

      Did he keep him because of lack of $$ to fire him last year? Or was he given another year to add players, make adjustments, etc to see if improvement? I don’t know, but guessing our budget factored into it.

      2025 DC Wish List

      Jeremiah Johnson from La Tech. My #1 choice no to high school DC, they have no clue to the portal and I don’t feel a great source of talent judgement. Carthel I don’t think would come for a coordinator role even for 200k more. He was my choice for HC after SL. if Johnson tells us no, look at the D2 level. D2 coordinators are more aggressive recruiting and better judges of talent. They are constantly trying to sell “snow to eskimos”. Bringing in particular kids from the portal with 1/2 schollys and inadequate facilities filling holes left by transfers etc. They are hustlers AND they won’t be afraid to come in with a hot seat coach, because of the confidence in their own skill . They will be more aggressive, But will adapt to the personnel they have in the cupboard. I’m also not sure we are getting any value from our recruiting gurus and support staff and we may need to revamp in that area for sure. Question our dfw high school coaches and get their recommendations for a DC We can do a little research in the D2 level and save money on a search committee lol
