Mgc - Volunteer Representative

It looks like I got talked into being a volunteer representative for the Mean Green Club. Not exactly sure what all it entails. Anyone else planning to do this?

I'm in the same boat. A rep from the Athletic Dept. Came out to my workplace last week and is coming out again this coming week with more details. I'm looking forward to learning about the new ways I can support the program beyond financially. I really like and appreciate the direction the school seems to be taking. They are reaching out to alumni to rejuvenate interest in the university.

I'm doing it as well. I signed up for the training class on the 8th of December. I like Cooper Jones and his staff (Dan, Matt, and Kendra)....I think this will be fun.

Well, I think this is fantastic, and applaud you guys for doing it. It's a great step in the right direction for the program--getting the alumni involved.

I assume that you guys will be working the phones and not having face to face meetings with prospects? We wouldn't want to scare away any potential customers :-)

Emmitt....they're doing the three training classes that I was offered---right before b-ball games. I think the dates are Dec. 8 and 13 (before women's games) and Dec. 11 (before Jax State men's game). Any volunteer gets a meal, parking pass and two game tickets. (as I recall). The training is from 5-7.

Anyway, I'm doing this by memory. (so I hope the info is right). As I said earlier....I signed up for the 8th (before a women's game). You only have to do one training session.

Me too. I haven't given Kindra the date for my training date yet though.

Calling Parker county should be interesting. And with that, it would make my job much easier if I could somehow convince those I'm contacting that there is somehow a "Roping Arena" involved?
