First, I really enjoyed having the players bring out the Conference Champ banner, the Tourney Champ banner, and the NCAA banner. They (the players) really seemed to take pride and ownership in the raising of the banners.

The Phi Mu Alpha Men's music frat provided one of the very best versions of the National Anthem I've ever heard.

The NT Dancers are always terriffic. And last night they were followed by the Green Brigade Drum Line. They not only put on their regular top flight show, but also seemed to play the melody, on DRUMS, to some popular song. (I don't know the name, but Srappy dances to it regularly. Says something about Tonto and Kem O'Sommy)

The game was the game. I enjoyed the win especially since it was against a high profile Texas team. Big 12 at that.

Last night provided the best case for why North Texas fans should wear GREEN and only GREEN. Fans wearing black could have been NT supporters or Tech supporters.

But the best part was the North Texas fans and especially the students. I suspect that many if not most, had never been to a North Texas game before. They were loud and did all the things a great college croud is supposed to do. When Tech tried to mount a chant, the Pit Crew was quick to respone with the "North-Texas, North-Texas" chant.

Storming the floor after the win, probably not really called for. Bt maybe some of those fans will come back and expect more of the same. the student fans, the Pit Crew, add so much to the game day experience. I don't know where they've been, but I'm sure glad to have them back.

Thanks Pit Crew
