The MT announcers were stunned!

Hell, I was stunned. I thought that was bad idea from the get go... I foresaw a blocked kick run back for a TD... thankfully, that did not happen. Olen made a fantastic kick!

and if he would have started from the beginning, the team would have had at least one more victory (assuming the xp success and victory in ot)

this kid is solid.

No, he was terrible in fall camp. Once he learned to kick off a tee, he was golden. Golden Olen.

True, but he couldn't beat out the walk on in the beginning. Something has just clicked the past several weeks. I remember Baz had the same turnaround.

Just in time.

He does in my book. He's now 10 for 12 for the season. Damn!

True and 1 miss came on a night when one of QB's got knocked out of the game, and they had to put someone in who didn't actually hold the ball for kicks (can't recall who it was)...

I wish we could have seen the kick, I saw it clear the line but that was it on ESPN 360 and the announcer start to say it was bad before it was good.

He had to learn to kick without the tee, off the ground in college. They can use the tee in high school. But, you're right he did look bad in fall camp. An amazing turnaround for a kicker in just a couple months.
