The bigger question is will Texas release his scholarship to play at a rising Texas University? or any other Texas University?

Big 12 rules say that he can not go to another Big 12 school. He can transfer out, but will not be eligible to play until Dec 2011

The question is will RJ be ready to play with us next year, or will we have to wait 2 years? Does he still have the intnet of even playing for north texas?

RJ will not be back to play for us... Whether he still has an intent to play for us or not. we have no intent on bringing him back.

I equally liked Roger Franklin's game while at Duncanville. Should shoot up the charts as the next likely local looking to come home. (From OSU) Jared Shaw is their only true center and is in the rotation. Dallas Lincoln's LaBryan Nash (brother of Byron Eaton) should move right ahead of Franklin next year. Additionally, Midland JC's All-American SF/PF.

JJ just needs to excercise patience.

pretty close to being done to smu, though the company line is SMU/TCU/Ark/Oregon. Should know very soon

Maybe with Shawn Williams the sorry smu basketball team could have beaten Mcmurry (Division 3, American Southwest Conference) by more than 3 points.....probably not though.

Coach Doh was always a good recruiter. Game day coach...not so much.

Other than a decent year at Notre Dame and his first year at UNC (where they still lost in the second round to that juggernaut Penn State), he has been a miserable failure as a head coach. He might be a terrific assistant coach, but he appears to be their hoops version of Phil Bennett, except not as good a guy as PB is.
