New Restaurants In Denton

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I'm a big fan of burgers and have had tried to eat one or two a year in the Denton area. I just wanted to say that Love's new restaurant is going to be really good. I heard they use only top meats and premium toppings and really focus on making the burger an experience. I know several folk like Denton Co. Hamburger or RJs, but I've hard those shops have trouble relating to today's customers.

Trust me, your ol' pal, that Tim Love's Love Shack is the right fit for your burger needs!

Have you forgotten spell check? OK, so spell check doesn't catch those sort of errors. Hey, how much did Tim pay you for your promo? However, I agree...Tim's Love Shack is good...also FIVE GUYS just opened in Denton. If you haven't tried FIVE GUYS I would recommend you do...all the toppings are for the asking. Pretty decent burger and they also use good meat grades. can't wait to try these places IN DENTON.

have been to Fred's a few times in Ft. Worth Great burgers and other food, but he seems a bit "proud" of it from the prices charged. I love the food, but always leave feeling I have been over charged a bit. Never mind paying for great burgers...just some seem more "over priced" than others. Just saying.....give Fred's a try and make up your own mind. Not saying they are too expensive as I have been there multiple times and will go back, just saying they seem a bit pricy for what you get.

I was around for Five Guys back in Washington D.C., and they are prejudiced against Asian people. Also, someone choked on a burger at their restaurant.

Is that really the sort of hamburger establishment we want leading our city of Denton into the next culinary era?

I for one think it's time to give this upstart franchise a chance and enjoy the success that's sure to follow!

You guys can talk all you want about your upstart burger joints, but truth of the matter is that we need to get an established purveyor of meat in here...and few are more grizzled than Louie's Lunch. This is a place that knows how to make a damned fine burger...and with the no nonsense kind of attitude that the Denton culinary scene has been lacking since the days of Hayden Fries, Burgers and Shakes.

You know, if we are going to bring a joint in from Ft. Worth, we should look at Kincaid's or Tommy's. They offer more experience and are a better name. Maybe if we get one of those, then we can get Tim's Love Shack to stay on as a secondary burger place that can take over if the other leaves for a better market.

Who listens to you? People hate you! STOP TALKING. WHO ARE YOU? YOU ARE A BAD MAN. EVERYONE MOCKS YOU.

Now, just because I've only been here for about 45 minutes and all I ever talk about is hamburger restaurants, that's no reason not to believe my sincerity when I say that Tim's Love Shack would be the absolute perfect hamburger at this critical time in Denton history.

As for the "established" names out there... Remember when Jack in the Box gave all those people E.Coli? People DIED. Are you saying you'd rather see women and small children die of hideous poisoning than give Tim's Love Shack the opportunity it has EARNED to serve and feed the people of Denton?

This CBL guy is a total whack-a-doo, right? Am I right? Who's with me?

I ate Kincaid's and Tommy's in high school. You really want to go down the high school road again? Because I sure as hell don't.

To whom it may concern-

I am not a Denton resident, but I have been consistently eating 1-2 hamburgers each year within the Denton city limits for the past six years.

What I've seen in this press release is that Tim's Love Shack is the best, surest hope for quality hamburgers in Denton that the city could possibly hope for. If you people don't seize the opportunity that's right on your plate, I hope you all choke on your french fries.

I ate there in HS as well and they were good enough for me then, why not now. Those restaurants don't have a HS plan, they have a burger plan. They can get it done anywhere. They were interviewed by Dallas, but weren't relocated because the city didn't want them to be a tertiary restaurant, they felt like they were primary restaurants and deserved the opportunity to prove it.

Hi all,

I've been registered on this board since it's inception, yet I only have 14 posts... so you can trust me. I have heard from a very credible source from inside the Denton Department of Health that there may or may not be food served at a burger joint that may or may not be coming to Denton. The Department of Health deepthroat informant told me that there are 1 of 2 options for this possible establishment. 1.This restaurant may or may not serve delicious burgers. 2. This restaurant is a big name that you have DEFINITELY heard of.

I'm sorry but I am not at liberty to provide any more information than what I've given you.

Sincerely,

-Stone

The last burger joint in town went bankrupt after not even 4 years in business, who are we to deny Love's Shack that has a history of 14 straight profitable years??? Sure, Love's Shack didn't win burger or the year award in any of those competitions, but at least they were invited 10 out of the last 11 years!

But have you tasted Katz's burgers the last few weeks?? I think they feel the pressure of Love's Shack coming to Denton and have really stepped up their patties.

You people need to get real. Even if some of the burger restaurants you're talking about were willing to consider thinking about opening up a location in Denton, where would the town get the money for everyone else needed to make the restaurant a success?

It's not just about the name on the marquee... Who is going to work the grill? The counter? You have to dedicate the resources necessary to keep quality people at all the critical positions. You can't just throw buckets of money at Mr. Hardee or Carl Jr. They won't be able to make a top level hamburger on their own. They need help.

I still contend that Tim's Love Shack is the ONLY answer for our next hamburger restaurant. Even though I don't know him in any way shape or form, haven't ever met him, and didn't birth his children/buy him Father's Day gifts for the past 25 years... I know that Tim has the heart and the dedication and the ability to make the best damn hamburgers this town has ever seen. Hamburgers more delicious than anything being served up at some of the "higher profile" restaurant cities.

If you want to throw your dining money away on retreads and failures like Dennis Fuddrucker, go ahead and be fools. But even if Chef Fudd somehow does manage to make a semi-decent burger again, he'll quickly pack up shop and move his restaurant down the highway to Austin or Houston.

Support the guy who wants to be here, and LOCK THE FRIDGE.

Even if we are able to get the Love Shack to Denton, the city needs to do more to reach out to the students. UNT just doesn't have a history of supporting the burger joints in its own backyard. Maybe we could all print up some menus and distribute them at football games, have the chef make public appearances at basketball games, that sort of stuff.

Hi guys...I just found your sight and boy, it seems Denton, UNT and the Eagles are doing some really great and PROGRESSIVE things...LEED Gold Certification, wind energy, cycle-powered Rec Center...wow!

Now when it comes to your burgers, I think Denton should also continue the PROGRESSIVE trend and do what I do...stop eating meat!

Straight out of Walden, Mass...Thoreau's Thoroughly Vegan Burgers...the Transcendentalist's choice for meat-substitute burgers, veggie fries and raw milk shakes for nearly 160 years. Thoreau's uses only the finest in Fair Trade, Organic grains and alternative protein sources to make their delicious burgers, so you know that you're only consuming the best to eventually go into your self-composting toilet...because "Only the Best From Our Garden to Yours" is more than just a motto at Thoreau's.

Try the original with Nayonaise...our their new Fake-on Teese VeganBurger.

Thanks...and don't forget to GO GREEN when going Mean Green!

You idiots have no respect for the past. You see a couple seasons worth of above average burgers and all of a sudden they're "The best burgers in the history of Denton." What do you kindergartners know about the history of Denton Hamburgers? Having good new burger joints is fine and all, but I'm sure as hell not going to piss on the grave's of the burgers that came before us. Somewhere Zombie RJ is cooking up an Afterlife World Burger and planning all your demise. Seriously the lack of respect for burger history around here sickens me.

Sincerely,

Knows way more about burgers than any of you.
