whats a week without conference expansion speculation? the mean green nation needs to hope that tcu is offered and excepts a football only invite to big east.[ as probably will ucf. ]with the mt. west loss of utah, byu, and perhaps tcu,the mt. west t.v. value is zip, and dfw market wide open. mt. west has choice between smu and unt for presence in metroplex, and would probably take smu.cusa, needing a travel pardner for houston, and exposure in dfw, could then add unt. i have frog feaver! how about you?

With all the expansions of teams to conferences that have no geographical or demographic relevance to the name of the various conferences, why not rename the conferences? I am thinking of calling them Greedy Conference I, Greedy Conference II, etc.? Just think of it, the television does a big promotional piece promoting the Rose Bowl and the announcer exclaims, "Stay tuned for the Rose Bowl, featuring the best of Greedy Conference I vs. Greedy Conference III for the national title." Just gives you goose bumps, n'est pas?

The MWC isn't the same as before but you are still in a conference With Boise State, Nevada, and Fresno State. Not to mention the other members are a lot better than what we have in the Belt. When TCU jumps then I imagine they will pick out Houston, UTEP or SMU and that would be another plus if NT would ever be in that conference. Wherever we are right now we just have to win so conference presidents can even know who we are.
