Freddy Sanchez has looked like a first ballot hall of famer in this series. Hunter just doesn't have the nasty stuff like a lot of pitchers. To become a finesse pitcher and be successful he needs more experience. I think he needs to go another inning or so and if he has any trouble there then he needs to be yanked for Holland.

And yes the strike zone has been pretty damn small.

Would someone tell Joe Buck that a home run to the right field corner is the shortest part of the park and doesn't come close to being "Ft Worth".

Wasn't it McCarver that said that?

Even so, that ball was crushed. Probably woulda been out to dead center too.

Hate to knee jerk but I don't see Texas winning this game. The Giants just seem to be playing with authority like they have all series thus far. Even yesterday you were always on the edge of your seat waiting for the meltdown to happen. Man I just hope Texas nuts up and pummels Bumgarner and the pitching staff.

If anything, didn't it travel about 325 farther from Ft Worth?

Actually would have been headed to Mansfield, but a national audience wouldn't have known what to make if that

Either way the Aubrey Huff home run was a monster shot. And again the offense just isn't getting a string of hits to put pressure. And when they hit the ball well Freddy Sanchez somehow someway gets to the ball and gets an out.

Kinsler had the best chance. I just wish he would have worked the count more and go for a hit rather than a home run type of swing. Bumgarner has been awesome but our offense hasn't battled like the Giants have. We need more guys to have 8-10 pitch at bats even if it turns into an out. Bumgarner has cruised without having to do much work. This sucks.

Remind me again, why is David Murphy on the bench?

Rick

Kind of the one question I've had. Murphy has proven he can produce regardless of the pitcher. I like Frenchy's presence in the clubhouse but his discipline at the plate is absolutely atrocious. I can't stand Francouer when he swings at the first pitch or two and wastes an at bat.

Because Wash has one of the worst guts in baseball.

I think it's just a managers way of doing things. Managers like to play percentages. I'm not saying I always agree with it but Washington not electing to play Murphy didn't lose the game tonight nor is the reason why we are down 3-1.
