I'm basing this on studying stats and the gamecast. Our top 4 tacklers are LBs and are leading the charge today. This usually means that the D-Line is eating up blocks. It seems as though it is the old DeLoach classic 4-3 system being executed finally.

Night and Day. Who is this team and what have they done with North Texas? That was a controlled, methodical win. It lacked three things. Flash, foolish penalties and worry.

Back to back timeouts? Running off 20 seconds before a time out? Good husbands and fathers?

I'll take it. GMG!!! #greenclaw

Allowing WKU only 3 points on the 1st two drives was huge. The defense seemed to settle down after that and gain a lot of confidence.

There is a huge difference betrween this week and last.

To somebody who is going to say hold on, get a grip or something because it is Western Kentucky...I say, Yes it is, but a win is a win, just ask these players who have stuck it out the past few years....... and everybody deserves to celebrate this one! Congrats Coach Canales, Coach Deloach, and the entire team! Thank you, you deserve it!

Starting with the fact that there was actually a game.

Can anyone tell what changes were made, any adjustments for our game against wKYJelly?

Seems Roberts has been in better position to make plays better than ever before?

Rick

Defense used less of the normal hit-and-hold line play and went into attack mode more often than they have in the past. The linebackers covered the middle better, we got lucky a couple of times and the D-Backs covered well. The 1st quarter was still terrible, but we didn't break and spot them 7. On offense Riley got into a very nice rhythm as the game went on, line play was very good and the receiving corp was catching the ball. Most of all, there weren't a lot of stupid mistakes like bad penalties, poor special team play, time management issues and ill advised time outs. Very up-tempo offense, which it seems is what we practiced for the last 2 weeks.

What was FIU's record last week before they beat the tar out of us?

1-5.

With a 4th string walk-on QB starting for us. Big difference. But with you, it is all black and white -- so you won't get it.

Playing a 1-6 team.

That, thus far in SBC play, has losses of 7 and 5 points and a win by 33. They could have easily been 3-0 in conference and had not lost by more than one score.

.... and we beat them - humiliated them- by 27 points. In their house. After the biggest win in their program's history. On their homecoming.
