I know they had a tremendous rain storm with a 2 hour delay after the game started I believe, but did anyone see the crowd in the stands before the rains came? Did the DMN have their att. in the boxscore? (You can no longer find a Dallas Morning News out here in the wild, wild West).

Looked in the FW Star Telegram box score but they did not include attendance numbers.

UH clearly had more team speed than SMU. Our new HFC if he was a Leavitt or whoever would probably let that be on his priority list. Great team speed and skill people sure has helped the Boise program.

hour and a half earlier, there was one in the bb forum

Seems to be a demographic-related issue.

20,000 is wayyyyy off. i was there for the 7 hour start to finish. before the storm i'd say there were 12,000 people there... and thats being generous. after the storm there was probably 5000.

SMU should have built a Kibbie Dome to keep the rain off their fans almost the same way that the French planted all the trees down all their steets to keep the sun of the Germans as they paraded.

I'd wager heavily that SMU counts tickets sold, not the number actually there.

In the latest report to the DOE they show football revenue of $11.1M compared to our $4.4M. Someone is buying large blocs of tickets so that their attendance is never embarassing. When you have money you can buy your way into almost anything.
