Buddy if you think our talent is on par with the belt you are way off. We are well behind Troy, MTSU and of course FIU looked like Oklahoma last week. I think ULM may have better talent too. It inexcusable but it is also reality.

Well behind Troy yes. Behind MTSU & FIU yes , but it's not would I would call way off. FIU only beat us by a TD last year. Our team didn't come to play this year vs FIU , the game was over before it even started. That was the same FIU that struggled to beat wKu the week before.

A solid coach could easily beat ULM,ULL,wKu,FAU &ASU. That's 5 wins. That would be a huge turnaround considering what we have done over the past 3 + years.

Again we play in the BELT. There are FCS conferences ranked above ours.

Probably the most idiotic thing ever posted on this forum and that is saying a lot.

considering the posts supporting two coaches who were fired for abusing players,i just thought we would cut to the chase and go after the real deal. this post seems to fit in nicely with those. i would hate to post something considered idiotic by the boards legal experts.

Apparently, having to stand in an conditioned room for a couple of hours while ur teammates beat the crap out of each other in practice is considered abuse by a very few on this board. Pretty amazing.

Try to think back to how physical a game football is, and then ask yourself; how can slapping a player or putting a player in an air conditioned room be abuse when, as coaches, fans, parents, and school administrators, we ask, hell, require, these kids to take the playing field, run as fast as they can, and collide as hard as they can with a kid from another school, who has the same requirements of their Coach? I'm not very good with physics, but I would bet one collision between these players generates at least 1000 times the force generated by the slap which with Leavitt most likely hit his player. I KNOW you can't even quantify how much greater a force that collision was then the force generated by the Leach incident, because Leach NEVER TOUCHED ADAM JAMES.

This is a violent game, folks. People get paralyzed in this game. They suffer year ending and career ending injuries. The players know this. Do you really think a little slap matters in the big picture? Or does it just allow you to feel better about yourself by issuing self righteous statements about "player abuse?"

More to come.

boys, lighten up.it was evidently defined by employers who have all the facts and made their decision based upon same. bottom line is r.v. can't afford to give either a second chance, since this will be his second chance. i am not being holier than thou, but am not supportive of hiring a coach who is suiting his previous employer. looks like a red flag to me. but hey, i was for hiring t.d.

does anyone know if dave bliss can coach football? he seems to fit in with what we want.

Sifting through this weekend's posts and I ran across this gem. This is without a doubt, IMO, the absolute worst post I have ever read on here, and I have been a lurker/poster since 2001. Congratulations on your epic fail of a post.

So maybe RV should give Lambchop a call.
