Over/under on the reported attendance is ... ?

Outside of the couple to several thousand Denton ISD students there, I will guess around 1,000. Since this one is on a Friday, unlike last year there should be a better student crowd. For the record, I am being optimistic.

The move is to accomodate those SEVERAL THOUSAND DISD students, right? Perhaps get some area kids interested in the very good basketball program in their own backyard? Seems like a smart nay shrewd nay BRILLIANT move on the AD's part.

Plus the last time the built the home opener around the schedule of the alumni a whole 3500 of the 20,000 fans watching UNT/Navy made it across the street.

I agree with you that getting the students there is a good idea, I just said it was going to be hard for lots of fans to get to it. I actually forgot about the bball game after the Navy football game. Good point.

Man, there goes one set of tickets I paid for. Too bad for me, but really not a bad idea if you can get DISD students and UNT students to attend. If the UNT students did actually come to this game they might be inclined to come back during the season, so I am OK "donating" the costs of my tickets to this game even though there is no way we can make it to a noon game. It sucks that one has to actually work for a living sometimes!

GO MEAN GREEN.

Anyone know if there will any sort of push from the PR/promotions folks centered around student turnout? Sure hope so and think there will be, but haven't seen or heard of anything as yet.

You - "I need to take a long lunch on Friday, November 12th."

Boss - "What for?"

You - "I could tell you but me telling you might constitute a violation of HIPPA."

Boss - "Oh, ok."

I wanted to go to the game. A noon tip off is bad for me. I hope the students show up, because many of us won't be able to.

Maybe a better way to get UNT students out is have tailgating for basketball games. Move tip off to 6:30, and have tailgating start at 3. Most students don't have Friday classes, and those that do are usually done by 3. The game will be done by 10, so they can go out and celebrate the win.

I think Jones and the team should lead the fans down to the administration building after every win to light the tower green. I think that would get everyone excited, and make a positive impression on recruits.

I tailgated the Cameron game in the Snake Pit two years ago... However, to be honest, "tailgating" meant I sat in my truck and drank a couple beers before heading in! :D

I hope every one of those kids get a t-shirt.

Are you saying that bribery works? I am all for it!
