Interesting Point From Press Conference

For me, the most interesting point from the press conference last night was the fact Rick stated he wanted a coach in place by the end of the season - that is us having a new coach in place in about 5 weeks. To me, that points at a coach who is currently not coaching a team. A number of the coaches that are on the list (who are currently coaching) are with teams that will most likely be playing in a bowl game - and with Oklahoma (Kevin Wilson or Jay Norvell) they might be coaching until January. Just an observation.

You have a point but if we go with the high profile type assistants route they will leave their current jobs early to start here. Heck if high profile coaches do that for better high profile jobs then I think it would be rather easy for the assistants.

Assistants will probably remain with their teams thru the regular season but unless they are playing for the national championship they will leave before the bowl games.

I'm just glad the crazy speculation game will hopefully last just over a month. I'm already getting tired head thinking about all these guys.

If it were to be one of the OU co-coordinators I could see them leaving. It's not as though they would be leavign their team empty handed.
