On the plus side, this hire has more DC experience than Craponi even after he has this job a couple years and was fired. On the negative side, still would have liked someone with more skins on the wall. I am fairly underwhelmed by this hire. Would be difficult to get worse (although technically possible! It is NT football!) so trying to think positively that we made a change and perhaps a better game plan and in game adjustments happen.
Unfortunately, unless Morris fires himself as OC then this guy likely fails also.
A bit early for this reaction. Let’s see how they do in the playoff. OSU has the most invested in its roster this year and has always been at or near the top in spending on football. I still expect OSU to go deep into the playoffs and be there at the end. Also, sounds like Day’s family has about had it with the fan base up in Columbus and may push him towards the NFL.
conveniently leaving out a part of your own post...and hilariously deleting your original post, despite the fact it was quote by multiple people. just take the L.
What are Net rankings based on?
I question a lot of their ranking order.
Utah St. is not #14 good.
UConn is #39, and Dayton is #40??
Were you at the Cotton Bowl for the 2013 HoD Bowl? Attendance of 38k, and I bet UNLV brought ~1500.
That's what a decent turnout should look like for a local bowl for us.
The 2022 Frisco Bowl's attendance was officially 12k (very generous), and the crowd was so unimpressive & unenthusiastic, you couldn't really even tell who many of them were rooting for. But, there was enough blue to know more than 1500 were rooting for Boise. Very embarrassing for a University that is only 30 minutes away.
