247 avg rating puts us 11 of 13 in the AAC. Would be middle of the pack SBC and competitive in CUSA. Lower avg than 2023.
Does not include transfers, which in my opinion are not easily rated. And even if they all were rated, a couple from the transfer class have already left.
My question was more about why he was still on the market in the spring/summer. According to his timeline, ECU offer wasn’t until May. Last offer before that was summer 2023. Must have been a late qualifier.

NT now has 5 players signed/committed that are 6'9 or over. Sissoko, Newell, Lorient, Vice and Smith
A lot of size and maybe not much quickness with the shortest players 6'1, 6'1, and 6'3. Other guards listed at 6'4, 6'5, 6'5, 6'6 and 6'6.
Seems like a completely different team concept that NT is going to use versus the past. With only one player returning that was used much in Walker, it obviously a developmental team. I thrust that NT will still be a defense first team, but how that works with this very tall squad will be interesting.
According to the ECU Press Release he was the leading rebounder in Texas 6A.
Smith led the 6A level of Texas High School basketball in rebounding two straight years. He brought in 855 career rebounds, 353 in a single season, and 26 in one game. All are school records. Smith was named an 8-6A First Team All-District selection.
ECU picks up commitment from three-star big Baron Smith Jr. (247sports.com)
