He needs to bring in his best pitcher to face the meat of the order late in the game. Now maybe Feliz would've resulted in the same outcome, but you can't tell me you were confident about Darren Oliver facing the 2, 3, and 4 hitters. You need your closer to face the big hitters when the game is on the line, which it very much was. Bring in oliver and o'day in the next inning to face the middle/bottom of the order if you're worried about Feliz's pitch count.

This is the playoffs, not another Friday night game in June.

I was at the game with my son. There were 3 sections in left field mid level that were empty.

Looked like they were saved for some gorup. Does anyone know anything about this?

Kill me. Just kill me.Blowing that game was HUGE. Man, the fans were just freaking waiting for that first playoff win, and then the bullpen pulls one of the worst playoff meltdowns in recent memory.

Bad break on the wild pitch in the first hurt. Not getting Hamilton home from 3rd with 1 out and Cruz and Kinsler up REALLY hurt.

Man, did the air go out of that stadium after the top of the 8th inning. I'll go back and do it again today, but my expectations for this series have completely changed. Maybe Kolby comes out and throws a gem and we even it up before Cliff Lee pitches game 3, but the Rangers had a chance to really put the pressure on for today's game and completely choked it.

The bullpen has been horrible in the playoffs, and Washington's handling of them was equally bad in the Tampa series.

There were two seperate groups of Yankee fans sitting near us. One told us his real favorite team was the Mets, followed by the Giants. The other guy (a complete douche) said his favorite team was the Cubs, but his wife made him wear the Yankees Derek Jeter jersey that both he and the wife were wearing. We had a LOT of fun with that guy. I HATE yankee "fans"

I hate yanks going back to 1861! The war for southern independence!

Careful... You'll be branded a racist by those who believe the civil war was strickly about slavery.

I felt like I was watching a recent Mean Green game.

Why has Wash completely abandoned Ogando? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he kinda assume Frankie's 8th inning role once Frankie was hurt?

I know he is a rookie, but so is Rapada.

When you have arguably one of the best bullpens in baseball you don't have your closer pitch 2 innings unless it is an extreme circumstance. I just don't get the stance where you are blaming the manager when NOBODY in the bullpen nutted up and got an out when it mattered. I think a lefty was most probable in that situation because it is better for Swisher and Tex to bat from the right side. The fact is that Wash didn't lose the game last night...the bullpen lost it with the help of some costly chances where the Rangers couldn't add some more runs and put the nail in the coffin against them.

I think Ogando's experience is what is keeping him back. I don't mind seeing more Ogando myself. Rapada isn't a rookie. He's been in the bigs for a few years now off and on and he's been extremely effective against lefties as a Ranger. Obviously he couldn't seal it yesterday but maybe not pitching in over a week could have been attributed to that. As for Ogando...he's not young but he is a true rookie with only being in the bigs for a few months.
