Homecoming Tailgating

North on the Blue lot we will be there at around noon.

Those that stop by will be treated by the following menu:

Home ground burgers toped with your choice of baby swiss or American,

Brats soaked in beer for 24 hours prior to the game,

Boneless Skinless Chicken breast marinated in my special Cajun seasoning and perfectly grilled to a tender juicy succulence,

My hand crafted Sausage Stuffing balls, made from scratch starting with home ground pork seasoned to breakfast sausage and combined with home ground turkey, to create the base for the other ingredients.

Followed by my home smoked brisket and pulled pork hand shredded and combined with my own BBQ sauce for a delectable BBQ meaty treat.

Then John takes it to the next level by bringing a commercial meat slicer to the tailgate and hand carves his home roasted & smoked pork and ham for some incredible Cuban sandwiches that he will press before your eyes.

      Sonny Dykes?

      I am stunned, there's not a thread about this. Has anyone ever witnessed a coach so unhinged, that he's thrown out of the game before? I know SMU hanging 66 on TCU, has to be very painful for some on here, but this is being talked about nationally, but for some reason ignored here. Dykes could be in trouble in Cowtown. Just two years ago, their magical season ends with Georgia putting 65 on them, and now SMU hangs 66 on the Frogs. It will be interesting, to see how TCU plays against Kansas this Saturday. SMU had a near sellout for the TCU game, and has Florida State coming to Ford this Saturday, that's crazy to even get your head wrapped around...the Seminoles and Mustangs?

      Great Week 4 Uniform Video

      Agreed we looked fast and the green popped off the turf. It was cool seeing Wyoming’s traditional brown and yellow and white combo. After all those years living in mountain west country I couldn’t get over watching the Cowboys in Denton against our Green. Nice fan turnout from the gold. GMG

      Sell Out Next Week?

      I think everyone knows this. It doesn’t make the practice any less dumb. With everything being electronic nowadays they could easily announce the actual attendance. Last night was a jarring example. There weren't more than 22-23K. And what annoys me the most is because of the announced attendance, last night is officially the 5th best attended game in stadium history, which is total BS.

      Did we dump the 3-3-5 for good?

      I mean I’ve spent lots of time talking about this defense (which I do not love) but there aren’t too many gaps. The scheme accounts for gaps, but relies on excellent linebacker play to go along with excellent safety play. For me, it always comes down to the defensive line. In 2013, we ran a 4-3 base and Flusche et al generated pressure with that front four and it made the whole group very good. The next year with the same base we were leaky. The difference was the line. Reffett had a solid defense with Nate Brooks and Kemon Hall at corner and would bring LB blitzes (to make up for the lack of great line play) and it worked. The next year they struggled as the corners couldn’t man up and the pressure was late. Littell’s defenses post Reffet were awful until he lucked into the Murphy twins and upset top 25 UTSA. Mazin Richards helped him get enough to get to the title game the next year. Last year? Awful line play. This year? Better line play. It’s always about line play no matter how many you put out there. Get pressure on the QB or else you lose.
