I'm planning to attend the Nov 20th game in Monroe, LA. Never been to an away game before. Should I get my tickets in advance? Isn't there usually a tailgate party before the game?

Thanks,

Glenn

Glenn,

I like the ULM trip! I lay up at a casino in Shreveport for the weekend and make the easy drive over to Monroe for the game. I just bought my tickets this morning and I have them held at Will Call in Monroe by our Ticket Office folks. Yes, there is a dandy little tailgate of our own and their folks are very hospitable too.

Do this, you will like it a lot. And we WILL win the game too (unlike the last time I went).

Monroe won't make your lifetime list of memorable places, but it is easy to get to and from and is not unpleasant.

I've been to every Belt School except MTSU, and ULM is by a hair in front of ULL for tailgating experience.

I can't claim to have been to that many schools but I can verify that ULM has a very nice tailgating setup in a wooded area next to the stadium. Our new setup may be somewhat like it, although ULM's is flat topography whereas ours may be sloped and uneven in places. I guess we'll just have to see how ours is laid out.

Really? I've always heard La-la had the best tailgate scene.

Go to the Horseshoe in Shreveport and get registered for your players card. After you get your players card you get 2 free buffets. Can't beat that, and you also get free beer when you gamble. Man talking about this is making me want to make a trip to Shreveport.

Personally, I cross the river to Bossier City and stay at Diamond Jack's (the old Isle of Capri). I'm booked there again this trip. I do go into Shreveport to the Riverwalk area and like to eat at the Blind Tiger.

Go hit up superior grill if you want some good mexican food, they have the strongest margaritas I have ever had.

Have you seen Dog the Bounty Hunter? Apparently all Hawaii'ans are strung out on Meth, so I doubt there is much relaxation.

I have a hard time believing the Hawaiians would choose meth over their own Maui wowie. Not meaning to dispute Dog, just wondering if it really is that rampant. Hawaii isn't that big; seems like meth would be a faster path to island fever.

Disclaimer: I have no personal knowledge of any of this stuff, I have just heard things.
