Ok, I don't know if the Alumi pavillion is paid for as part of the stadium financing, or if it's being built with contributions, but here is an idea about how this facility can be really useful. I have listened to stories (not only recently, but for several years) of how our SPIRIT ICONS have been mishandled, neglected and just generally treated as if they are afterthoughts by whomever is charged with keeping them safe and intact. Why not expand the Alumni Pavillion to house our SPIRIT ICONS so that they will always be safe(?) and so that Alumni can have an opportunity help keep them maintained.

It would be an opportunity for fans, alumni, and the Alumni Association to get behind something on a more hands on basis.

I'd contribute both money and time for this project.

If you mean Boomer and the car, there is already storage areas being built in the stadium.

The pavillion will be paid for compeltely with donations. Come to the alumni tent at the next game and buy a brick.

I would rather see them permanently displayed where they can be seen every time an Alumni visits the pavillion. I'm not comfortable with them being shoved into a storage facility...out of sight. That's why I think the pavillion ought to be large enough to house them.

I've visited the "tent" just about every game and I've never seen where you can buy a brick....which I will be glad to do.

The pavillion as I understand it will not be open full time, only on game days as basically a covered tailgate area (and not enough room to store a cannon and car). Here is info about it and donation levels plus a brochure that can be downloaded. The newest rendering of it looks a lot better than the first drawings.

The bricks were on display yesterday with the other alumni items. It's a good deal, you should check it out this Saturday.

If there is a storage space that will accommodate Boomer and the Model A being prepared inside or even around the stadium this is the first time I heard of it, and I have been asking for a while now about just that.

As for the pavilion, Boomer could easily display inside during non game days as it is designed now.

That's great, but have you heard anything concerning storage during non game days?

Rick

I had thought I heard something about there being a permanent display area near the Mean Green Gear shop.
