I've been to the stadium in Lafayette...it ain't much better than Fouts. And, yet...there's Oklahoma State. We're much closer.

Why not us?

We got Kansas State. Yeah, I suppose they're not on quite the same level, but they could be a bowling Big 12 team.

K-State initially agreed to that game with the understanding that they would be opening our new stadium.

Really, had not heard this before your post. Is this true? If so, why are they playing in Fouts and why did they schedule the game at the end of THIS season when the plans for the stadium always had it opening the season, not closing one????

Not saying it "ain't so", I have just never heard this. Or, did I miss the humore here? That could also be true!

I believe when the talks first came out that Kansas State agreed to do a home and home, I remember that they agreed with the understanding that it would be in the new stadium. At one point(while they were in negotiations) I think the plan was to get the stadium completed for this season and when that wasn't a possibility it was too late for both teams to move the game so therefore that is why they are coming to Fouts. But I could be wrong.
