hows it? im a big time UNT football fan and while checking out ESPN's page on Mean Green Athletics, i clicked over to the bball team and what do i find??? I mean am i delusional? or does UNT really have a commitment from a top #50 PF in the nation? ive checked out a few sites to see how he ranks and ive seen him as high as the #25 SF to #53 PF. At any rate my question....

is this guy the best recruit weve ever gotten to come play at the super pit? To me he looks like a beast and makes me excited to come to games in the future if we got guys like this on the way. Also Trey Norris looks like a beast too... its good to see atleast UNT bball can go out there and recruit big name guys. keep up the good work. GMG

We are VERY excited to get him... well in a little over a month we can say that ( knock on wood) Rivals has him as one of the top 150 players in the nation. Stay tuned and we might just land another.

As far as the best ever ? I'd have to leave that for someone else , but let's let him suit up 1st.

Jordan is a very talented 6'6" wing...probably projects to play the 3 here and yes is one of the, if not the best freshman recruit Johnny has landed in his time here.

Norris is an under-sized, but hard-nosed true point guard who's stock has been steadily rising.

We also have a verbal from a JUCO combo guard named Brandan Walton...6'2" 185...averaged 11ppg as a freshman at a quality JUCO program in Wyoming. Many questioned our pursuit of this kid...including myself...and while I'm still not sold on the logic of offering JUCO kids this early in the recruiting process, I am starting to come around on the talent Walton will bring next season.

All of these are verbal commitments and non-binding until the 2nd week in November when early signing period opens.

What is the exact date of the early signing period? Does anyone know if MGS does updates like they do for the football signing day? I would understand not doing it most years, but this isn't shaping up to be most years.

Nov 10th. Maybe it should this year with the talent & number of ships we have

i'll be keeping my fingers crossed... you never see the football program land these kind of top prospects...cough riley cough.... not to put down the football program but the bball program is really making the football team look bad in terms of recruiting....winning....nat. visabillity...well... pretty much in terms of everything.

oh yea also...ESPN on there recruiting class rankings for schools, they had FIU like #28 in the nation..... looks like the SB is really starting to take off in BBall.... GMG

If only they had a coach who could do something with all that talent.

Jordan is number 106 overall in the nation at this moment. Devonta is 105
