I admit I was one who just didn't believe that this team was capable of this kind of performance on the road...

I was dead wrong and I am glad to say so to the world...

They kept mistakes to a minimum and executed an offensive game plan that had FAU totallly off balance at times...

Hats off to the players and coaching staff...

See everyone at Fouts 6:30 next Saturday...

Well done men, well done...!!

Exactly. Even before the season, I didn't think this was game we would win. After the injuries, I didn't think there was chance.

I am very happy to be proven wrong in this case! :D

A gutty performance by the team and coaches. I, too, thought this was a sure loss and am very pleased to have been proven wrong.

Maybe this win helps attendance at next weeks game. See y'all on the blue lot.

I never expected or predicted this type of outcome but it is just one week. It only means that we won't go winless this season as it was one of my honest fears before the FAU game.

I'm with you...

A winless season was a distinct possibility in my mind after the rash of injuries...

I'm not saying this rights the ship, but it does make it more palatable to arrive at Fouts next week and have something legitimate to cheer for...

Just knowing that the players and coaches are still into the season should be a big boost for a disillusioned fan base...

thumbs ups to a great coaching staff....made the changes necessary with a team plagued with injuries to win this game...shows smarts by the OC and DC.

Thumbs up to a team that showed character....this is what we are trying to build in these young men and this team...when the football is over...the character keeps going with them through life....I am very proud of these young men....they have represented themselves and UNT well....Hey guys...this wasn't WKU !!

      Awesome win! The only bad part was the commentary from the TV announcers. They confused Newell and Lorient for an extended period of time, stated that Atin Wright originally played at Washington State, and clearly barely knew anything about our program. The play by play announcer gave major 'and boom goes the dynamite' vibes. Some thoughts on the game: - The defense was stellar as we've all come to expect. Delo and Massie were great playing multiple matchups. - Minnesota came out and blitzed our PnRs. We really struggled with the pressure. Eventually we started slipping screens and setting brush screens to counteract it. - Trey Edmonds in the second half forced us to play big. He has a grown man body. Hodge settled on a Lorient/Sissoko combination to match Garcia/Edmonds. - An extended run with a Floyd/Walker/Massie/Lorient/Sissoko lineup including to close the game aside from situational subs. Before the season I would've been shocked that this lineup would close a win on the road against a Big Ten school because of the offense. The spacing was predictably an adventure. Massie wasn't efficient but he kind of made the lineup 'work'. He shows handling, passing, and court awareness in the half court. Feels like he could turn into a secondary ball handler in lineups. - Atin Wright had a meh game by his standards, but still really excited about him this season. He's a bit of a showman and I love it. After getting fouled in transition, he slapped the ball away from the defender and stared at him. On Lorient's massive jam at the end of the game, you can see him standing over Edmonds (who was on the ground). GMG

      Most uneducated post I read was someone saying we could end up being a quad 3 blemish on the gophers tourney resume. 🤦‍♂️ gotta keep winning games like this. Only way to get past the stigma.

      We're considered a mid-major I believe. P5 are Big 10, SEC, ACC, Big 12, and Big East.
