In the midst of all the fallout, don't lose sight of the fact that young men have committed to represent UNT and don't forget them. Men like my adopted player Shavod Atkinson.

Shavod had a damned good game and was in the middle of the action again. His big old 99 was in the close-up TV picture MANY times. He had three solo tackles, three assists, and forced a fumble.

Your strong play was very much appreciated, Shavod!

I have not heard anything on Nathan since they said he was released from the hospital.

I hope he has a speedy recovery.

I never officially adopted a player, but I think this is as good a thread as any to mention I love our DTs, and it looked like Jeremy Phillips was a beast yesterday.

I saw at least 3 missed tackles yesterday from Phillips that were just terrible. I like his potential, but he's got alot of improving to do.

Riley was unfortunately forced into QB duty. His final stat line was 8-17 for 63 yards, no TDs or INTs. I appreciate his willingness to help wherever he can, but hopefully the coaches realize that full-time QB is not where he will best help the team. Whatever role the coaches choose for him, I know he will give it his all.

He did miss a few, but he has a knack of getting into position to get more opportunities. He had 10 tackles in that game, 1 for loss. If he keeps up the stat sheet he's had the past two weeks, he's virtually a lock for all-conference.

Agree 93-98....may have missed a few, but I saw some one-on-one open field tackles that he nailed...two on one series, first and third down, that were textbook.

He's not my adoped player, but Craig Robertson has been awesome this year.

The tackles that he did miss were often where he over ran the carrier. While a missed tackle is a missed tackle, his hustle is unquestionable and experience will cure this.
